Superb bronze sculpture with brown patina representing Artemis, goddess of the hunt, attaching her tunic on her right shoulder with a fibula. This is a mid-19th century bronze replica of a Roman marble sculpture from the time of Emperor Tiberius, discovered during excavations in 1792 in Gabii, Italy, and preserved at the Louvre Museum in Paris. This sculpture is known as: Artemis called "Diana of Gabii". A signature "AD", surmounted by a small 5-pointed star, is engraved on the right rear corner of the terrace.
