Tabriz rug with magnificent decoration placed on a cream background.
This piece measures 255 cm wide by 305 cm long.
The light effects on the rug are due to the addition of silk and also thanks to the specific treatment of the wool used for these rugs.
## In very good condition (almost perfect), wool of the finest quality for the velvet, impeccable fringes and edges.
This magnificent Indo-Persian rug follows the criteria of ancient Persian decorations.
It is knotted with great finesse and superb quality of kork wool mixed with silk.
Around 1980, we can hardly imagine the immense work that went into knotting such a marvel.
The quality of these pieces is not to be demonstrated, the work is fine, precise and durable over time.
The materials used are of the highest quality: the fine and soft kork wool, taken from the neck and under the belly of the lambs (first shearing) makes up the velvet knotted on a fine cotton for the weft.
This carpet is clean, the wool is knotted admirably and finely tight as these carpets always are.
It reveals to us nuances full of contrasts, very many colors including mainly ivory, cream, brown .... The field is surrounded by a border accompanied by fine braids grouping together branches, large stylized flowers and stars of Medes.
