Delicate and refined floral composition in a stemmed glass, (Champenoise cup). Painted in oil on a wooden panel. It bears an illegible dedication and a signature L. Penet for Lucien Penet French artist born in 1834 in Thiennes (North) and died in 1901 in Paris. French. He is listed as a painter of portraits, still lifes, genre, miniatures and engraver. He was a student of Kurten, debuted at the salon in 1865. He painted miniatures, enamels and some genre paintings. Dimensions of the panel alone, 35.5 cm x 26.5 cm. In an old frame, 41 cm X 30 cm. Very good condition.
