There he discovered tempera painting while working as a restorer of works of art and adopted this method to create works of great finesse in a realism with an inimitable style. Snowy villages, landscapes in ochre tones, low light, inspire calm, serenity and gentleness. He signs his name followed by Thomas in homage to his maternal grandmother Madame Albert Thomas to whom he owes invaluable help for his first exhibitions.
