"Watercolor Dated 1857. After Titian. Monogram Al."
Beautiful watercolor annotated in red at the bottom left "Titian". Monogrammed with two letters AL and dated 1857. It represents the painting in the Louvre by Titian, "the transport of Christ to the tomb". It measures, at sight, 42.5 cm x 29 cm. It is presented in a beautiful black and gold frame from the 19th century measuring 57.5 cm x 46 cm.
