"Large Gallé Suspension With Bordeaux Roses, Emile Gallé"
Important glass paste suspension by Emile Gallé (1846-1904) in the shape of a circular and domed basin in multilayer glass with acid-etched and grinded decoration. Superb decoration of red Bordeaux roses in bloom and buds on an opaque background with a light yellow hue. Three chains held by hooks and a bronze ram cover take up the plant motifs of this Art Nouveau suspension. The lighting brings out shades of red and yellow comparable to a sunset. Signed Gallé.
Height of the basin without chains: 14 cm.
