We are here to meet your requirements! 19th century Moudjour rug in wool on wool, measuring 105 cm wide by 160 cm long. These rugs are classified as Anatolian pieces. In wool on wool, mainly red, greige, gold, straw yellow, faded lavender. Very close to the Kir-Sehir in shape and decoration, these magnificent prayer rugs feature a staircase arch for the Mihrab. This arch ends with an arrowhead, and is distinguished by powerful and bright colors full of contrasts of plant and animal origins. These ancient pieces originating from Anatolia in Turkey, were knotted in mountainous, harsh, austere and very poor regions. The staircase shape interprets the mountain, the stylized flowers are elements of happiness and peace. Many neophytes wonder how these rugs came to us in good condition, even in very good condition. Quite simply: ## These prayer rugs are regularly found in good condition because they have always been piously preserved in families or by owners/collectors who love this genre. It is and will be increasingly difficult to find original pieces of original quality, real artifacts, in fact either families keep them or collectors guard them jealously. This piece is in its discovery state, my passion for old Anatolians prevents me from inflicting a restoration on them.
