"Teak Secretary, Stamped Lb Kofod-larsen, Denmark – 1960"
Vintage teak dressing table from the 60s from Denmark created by the great designer LB Kofod Larsen. This furniture has a lower part with 2 large drawers equipped with wooden hand handles. It rests on slightly sheathed and rounded feet. The upper part has a flap with recessed wooden hand grips. This top is held by compasses on each side. The top lifts up and has an oblong mirror transforming this piece of furniture into a dressing table. The interior is in white laminate. Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) graduated from the prestigious Royal Danish Academy of Arts. He was very passionate about designing wooden furniture. In 1958, during her visit to Denmark, Queen Elizabeth II fell in love with his creations and bought several of his pieces of furniture. Between the 1950s and 1960s, the designer gained real recognition in Denmark. His minimalist furniture with organic design seduces the Danes. However, it will take several years for Kofod-Larsen to meet the same success in Sweden. ******** Period: 1960 Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Varnish finish.
