Very rare, etching depicting the moment before the death of Queen MARIE-ANTOINETTE, during which she apologizes for having stepped on her executioner's foot in the middle of the Place de la Concorde. The queen is depicted standing on the platform of the guillotine surrounded by a popular crowd. Titled "Journée du 16 octobre 1793" in the lower part. Foxing. Late 18th century.
