"17th Century Gilded Bronze Christ"
Christ in gilded bronze from the 17th century. He wears a perizonium tied on the left side. The head leans to the left; the face expresses a calm suffering typical of the period. The bronze is largely hollow; the arms cast separately are assembled hot. Beautiful period gilding (quite rare) Italian work from the 17th century Quality object, in beautiful original condition
