Second half of the 19th century China Qing period A large badge, panels with birds in polychrome and gilded silk embroidery dating from the second half of the 19th century. Rich decorative repertoire with Taoist symbols, urns and vases loaded with Lotus and Dahlia flowers, ideograms and characters. Very fine silk embroidery in couching stitch with a strong polychromy and shaded color tones. The background is entirely embroidered with applied gold thread cartouches. Framed in blue damask silk and lined in blue cotton. Apart from the slightly altered blue frame, the embroidery is well fixed and in very good condition. Beautiful state of conservation.
