Weaving made by Gashghai women for tribal festivals: Norouz (Iranian New Year), weddings. Very 'deco' on the wall, on a sofa but also on the floor with an anti-slip.
In nomadic tribes, rugs and kilims were of vital importance. They served as insulation in the yurt, as bags or satchels for everyday use (gorjin, mafresh ...). The ethnic and rustic side of these creations shows authentic and artistic know-how.
The Gashghai confederation includes different tribes: (some examples: the Kashkulis Bozorgs (the big ones), the Kashkulis Kucheks (the small ones), the Shishbolukis (six districts), the Amalehs or Yamalehs (workers, servants of the Khan).
