"Mid-16th Century Polychrome Stucco Madonna And Child "

Magnificent circular polychrome stucco depicting the Madonna with baby Jesus and angels. In the center, in a delicate bas-relief, stands out the figure of the Madonna, wrapped in a white veil that covers her hair, with a red dress and a blue cloak, while holding her son baby Jesus in her arms; both wear a halo. Around them, three sweet little angels watch the scene, on a deep blue background. The stucco is completed by a circular festoon frame, also made of stucco and decorated with gilding in pure gold leaf. This is a typical Tuscan manufacture dating back to the mid-16th century. This polychrome stucco of particular value and prestige is able to enrich any environment with taste and antiquity.
