In the same year, on the recommendation of his teacher, Boris Schatz, he went to Paris to continue his studies. There he studied for four years under the famous sculptor Antonin Mercie at the École des Beaux-Arts. At that time, different trends in sculpture were competing for the stage in Paris, but Andrei Nikolov sought to find his own unique path. His talent did not go unnoticed and his works participated in the Paris Salon. “Bulgaria is too small for this artist,” Rodin himself said about Andrei Nikolov.
