"Directory Gate Or Grille"
Directoire gate or grille, forged at the end of the 18th century or during the first quarter of the 19th century, of fine craftsmanship and in perfect condition. A portcullis of spearheads, in openwork cast iron, surmounts its bars ringed at their ends. The central frieze punctuated by diamonds and circles accredits the style of this property entrance. Its beat is decorated with a Greek key on a volute and a double molded plinth. The whole is assembled hot riveted and assembled half-iron. Originally this gate was adorned with a side grille, to the model, 467 cm long by 114 cm high which could advantageously complete it, our last two photos, some spearheads are missing. The height at the axis of the hinges is 160 cm. The section of the frames is 30 mm². The diameter of the bars is 20 mm. You can visit our website: www.claudeaugustin.com
