Object description :

"Selfish Tripod Jug - Solid Silver Covered Creamer - 19th Century Silverware"
Covered silver creamer, 18th century style, 19th century period

Charming selfish tripod silver jug, in the shape of a marabout, characteristic of the 18th century style and made in the 19th century. It rests on three feet decorated with medallions with attachments, ending with delicately chiseled rolled feet.
Its hinged lid is topped with a finely rolled thumb rest. The neck and lid are subtly highlighted with thread moldings, bringing a discreet refinement to the whole. The black wooden handle, elegantly curved, is fixed in a molded ring at the bottom and decorated with "bottom" decorations at the top, offering a harmonious contrast with the shine of the silver.

The whole bears the Minerve hallmark as well as a master goldsmith's hallmark "A star F", visible on the body, a foot and the lid, attesting to its authenticity and quality of execution.

The surface has been finely hammered, adding a delicate texture that enhances the piece's brilliance.

Dimensions:

Height: 14 cm
Width (with handle): 12.5 cm
Body diameter: 7.5 cm
Neck diameter: 5.5 cm
Weight: 310 g

This delightful ewer is an exceptional testament to the expertise of 19th century master silversmiths. Ideal for lovers of fine silverware, it will appeal to collectors with its elegance and timeless finesse.
