Painting, oil on canvas in its gilded period frame. Portrait of a young man with the Legion of Honor, signed Schmitz (Antoine Guillaume) 1789/1849 and dated 1828. Very good quality of painting, small restoration on the canvas (see last photo), slight accidents on the frame. Illegible handwritten inscription on the back of the frame certainly the name of the character frame dimensions 80 cm by 70 cm painting 61cm by 51cm
