Slnd [Berlin ?, Verlag nicht ermittelbar, ca 1717-21] - 472 x 667 mm.
Short margins, very close to the framing lines, fold marks, very good condition otherwise.
Rare and very beautiful plan, one of the very first showing Saint Petersburg, engraved by the Berliner Georg Paulus Busch (? – 1756).
At the top left, there is a legend with more than 50 points of interest, with below a drawing of the newly built Kronstadt fortress. Very beautiful allegorical cartouche at the bottom right, with in its center a portrait of Alexander the Great and a battle scene in the background. The portrait is an interpretation of an engraving by A. Zubov for the publication: нига Марсова… (The Book of Mars...), St. Petersburg, 1713.
