Beautiful clarinet in boxwood, mounted with four horn rings, ebony mouthpiece and equipped with 11 brass keys.
Complete and carefully made instrument, in good general condition, but requiring cleaning and servicing to restore all its shine.
No part is missing, making it a rare and sought-after object.

The body is marked with a capital "S" (see photos), a detail that could interest collectors.

History of the clarinet:
Invented at the beginning of the 18th century, the clarinet is a relatively young instrument in the history of music. The so-called "old" or "historical" clarinets include models created between the first two-key clarinet and the appearance, in 1839, of the modern clarinet with 17 keys and 6 rings. This piece embodies an important step in the evolution of this fascinating instrument.
A choice piece for any collector or lover of old instruments.
