Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Dimensions: 70 x 50 cm without frame Originally from Corsica, Agostini painted the churches of his country, the landscapes of the island and portraits. His style can be described as impressionism. 1939 marked the end of his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Max Agostini was mobilized and remained in captivity for three years in East Prussia, he was released in 1943. He chose to live in Châteauroux in 1956, where he painted many portraits and landscapes. Then he went to live in Provence where he painted his most beautiful paintings, lavender fields, still lifes and landscapes, he is a wonderful colorist. he will be exhibited in Paris at the MARTIN-CAILLE MATIGNON Gallery, which has made his works discovered and appreciated throughout the world thanks to his collaboration with Janet Greenberg.
