Carle Vernet (1758-1836), Charcoal Drawing, Expression Head Of An Arabian Horse

Very beautiful drawing purchased from a Bordeaux address of which I am 99% sure, for having had several very beautiful drawings by the artist representing horses, heads or full-length, that there is no doubt that this beautiful horse's head is by Carle Vernet whose "paw" can very easily be recognized. If you are familiar with the artist's work, you will also be convinced yourself.
The drawing is made on a sheet of old paper measuring 30 X 22.3 cm; The oval at sight is 23 x 17 cm.
The high-quality oval marie-louise is obviously later.
The traces in the corners that can be seen on the photo of the reverse are not tears as one might think but pieces of paper in excess of an old assembly.
It's worth pointing out that freckles, which may seem very ‘present’, are much less noticeable in reality. Note that you can always have the drawing cleaned to make them disappear.
