Bust Of Benjamin Franklin, Bronze, France, Late 18th Century

Beautiful bust of the Great man, genius, and father of America, extremely appreciated in Paris under Louis XVI, and who appears with Voltaire and Rousseau in the Parisian editions of bronze sculptures of philosophers.
He is represented age of 70, on height of his glory, time of the signing of Treaty of Paris, and Independence of the United States.

This bust, Height 17cm x 12cm, hollow back, rests on a marble column, white and black, an engraved cartouche bears his name.
Good condition, silver chains on base, a small lack on base of black marble.
