"Designolle Ernest (1850-1941). “landscape With Haystacks”, Watercolor, Early 20th Century."
Very beautiful watercolor by Ernest Designolle (1850-1941). It represents a landscape of great finesse, in the foreground long reeds bent by the wind towards a pond, then two haystacks lit by a ray of sunlight piercing through the clouds. The path leads our gaze towards a hamlet protected by large trees. A stormy sky ends the scene. Quality framing. Work signed lower left, an old label on the back indicates that this painting was framed at 5 rue Godot de Mauroy in Paris. Please note: this watercolor is in very good general condition. A very small stain on the Marie-Louise on the right. Please look carefully at the photos.
