"“venus Coming Out Of The Bath”, Alabaster Statue, Or “young Woman In Drapery”, Art Nouveau."
Very elegant alabaster statue representing a young woman covering herself with a veil that could be an Art Nouveau interpretation of Venus coming out of the bath. The face and body are of great finesse, the work of the hair particularly elaborate, the veil that she holds with one hand lets the light pass very slightly, her feet rest on it. The base is sculpted to evoke a stone floor. This statue rests on an independent base also in alabaster veined with green. An impression of delicacy emerges from this work. This statue was made in 1900 during the Art Nouveau period. Please note: this statue is in very good general condition. Tiny chips at the base. Please look carefully at the photos. Overall dimensions: Height: 57 cm Width: 21.5 cm Depth: 15.5 cm Dimensions without the base: Height: 52.5 cm Width: 18.5 cm Depth: 12.5 cm Shipping costs for France (by tracked colissimo) are 35 euros (we provide particularly reinforced packaging), please contact us for all other destinations.
