Japanese temple incense burner from the Meji period in bronze with high relief decoration and finely chiseled on several registers of lanceolate leaves, foliage, various mythical or flying creatures such as the dragon, cranes, clouds, branched birds. The base is openwork and covered with filigree ornaments found halfway up. Object later modified at the beginning of the 20th century into a 3-light floor lamp. The wiring and switches are more recent, 1950s/1960s, all in good working order. 3m cable with main switch and in the upper part two switches corresponding to the two side bulbs. At the top a device provided for fixing a lampshade. Dimensions: Base diameter 39.5cm Height 183cm Height was 143 cm Weight of 18kg which is explained by the significant thickness of material.
