"Old Feather Wiper "
Old pen wiper. Its name alone tells us a lot about its use: it was used to remove from the tip of the pen the agglomerate of paper particles torn from the sheet, which ended up forming a pile of junk that prevented the ink from arriving, made the pen smudge, which as a result, drew a thicker and more irregular line. What a disaster!
