Geo Fourrier, painter, engraver and illustrator, multi-awarded for his work, inspired by Japonism is particularly known for his productions inspired by Brittany and those made during his stays in Black Africa. The publication of several series of postcards has largely contributed to the dissemination of his work. He also illustrated a lot and worked for the Quimper earthenware factories. Our watercolor, whose style can recall that of his contemporary Meheut is typical of his Breton genre scenes. His work is very present in public collections. Two exhibitions have recently been dedicated to him, one at the Forney library in Paris and the other at the Musée de la Carte Postale in Baud.
