Pair Of 1810 Woodwork Wall Lights

Definition:
ormolu chased bronze, cut crystal, glass mirror.

This pair of large wall lights consists of bronze hangers decorated with half crowns of mirzas (or pendants), one under the wall light and one in dai at the top.
The general silhouette in chains of round pendants is in the shape of a half vase with a neck.
The 3 light arms are in the shape of a swan's neck and head supporting the Medici-shaped sockets. The tight "S" of the light arms is characteristic of the Empire period, even the beautifully crafted 19th century Empire style wall lights or chandeliers have swan's neck arms but are more elongated. The model is very elegant and sober but the particularity of these lights is that they are lined with a mirror cut to the silhouette of the wall light itself.
The rendering is remarkable in its presence. The very simple assembly of the frame indicates an installation in woodwork. But use on a simple wall will not pose any technical or aesthetic problems.

Condition:
Very good condition for age, ground gold barely faded, some invisible re-attachments of attachments to the crystals.
