Mr. Alastair Laing and Mrs. Françoise Joulie have confirmed the authenticity of this drawing.
It could be the drawing, sold in the sale of Viscount C (Clair or Cleri), Me Pillet, Paris, April 25-26, 1872 (Soulié and Masson N°452).
Another drawing on the same theme was kept in the Marigny collection.
