"Art Deco Mahogany Sideboard – 1940"
Art Deco period mahogany high-height music cabinet. This music cabinet has a top with a mitered frame accompanied by interior moldings around the perimeter. This top is darkened by a single panel. It lifts up and reveals a large storage space originally used for a turntable. On the front and in the upper part of the cabinet, two small doors open onto projecting brass knobs. Two large pull pendants allow these doors to be opened. Below, a large door with a mitered frame has a panel and an original lock in working order accompanied by its key. Inside, we observe two adjustable shelves on racks. The uprights of this cabinet are slightly rounded and grooved. Finally, the bottom crosspiece and the feet are sculpted in the Art Deco style. ******* Period: 1940 Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Finish only waxed after stripping.
