The handle (Tsuka) is covered with ray skin (Same), wrapped with braid (Ito) and decorated with menukis. Marine style tsuba. 18th century blade forged using the traditional method. Blade tang (Nakago) signed (Mei). Well marked temper line (Hamon). Silver habaki. Wooden scabbard (Saya) covered with shark skin. Very good condition. Two small chips on the edge. Total length 97 cm, blade 72 cm.
