Potted stoneware pitcher with a slightly flared foot and almost cylindrical neck, decorated in low relief with stylized brown and blue floral motifs, under lead glaze. The pewter lid bears the hallmark of an unidentified master from STUTTGART.
Height: 25.5 cm
WESTERWALD or STUTTGART, 18th century
Small chips at the base of the foot
The earthenware makers had the lids, fasteners and hoops made by master pewter potters.
Very good condition, small chips from use are however noted on the foot.
