"Empire Period "fountain" Clock"
Empire period clock circa 1810, interesting with rich, finely chiseled decorations in gilded bronze with mercury and gold. White marble architecture representing a fountain whose brick-shaped central part accommodates a magnificent lion's head from which water flows from its mouth and pours into a basin, this fountain is highlighted by two griffins distributed on each side. Adorned at the top of this fountain is the domed white enamel dial accompanied by gold hands and highlighted by a palmette outline. The dial is decorated with ram's muzzles and at the top of a magnificent eagle with outstretched wings.
