In two parts, base and nested bust. Posture of taking the earth as a witness, one of the nine mudras retained for the Buddha. Sitting in a meditation posture, the Buddha comes out of his meditation and moves his right arm towards his knee to touch the earth with the tips of his fingers. The "mudras", positions, signs, seals or symbols, are the symbolic positions of the hands expressing a spiritual conception among Hindus and Buddhists. Sign of good auspiciousness, character of good omen, of double happiness, on the sculpture. Height 48 cm, width 35 cm. Good condition, finesse and superb patina.
