We discover a woman, undoubtedly a mushroom picker, carrying baskets and walking on the edge of the forest, among boulders, a setting reminiscent of certain landscapes of the Fontainebleau forest.
Eugène GALIEN LALOUE was a prolific painter, if he is more renowned for his Parisian gouaches, very sought after and which can be negotiated for several tens of thousands of euros, he also painted a large number of landscapes and seascapes through his numerous travels In France.
PLEASE NOTE: There are a large number of fake GALIEN-LALOUE on the market, notably works by GODCHAUX who sometimes painted similar subjects in a very similar style (the forgers therefore add one of his pseudonyms...) as well as numerous oils signed JULIANY and DUMOUTIER which are NOT from GALIEN-LALOUE !!! We are stunned to see that these fakes are sold almost everywhere at the same price as the originals due to dishonesty or lack of knowledge of the artist...
