"A Correzian Wardrobe..."
A beautiful late 18th century Corrézienne folk art cabinet from Tricolet between Tulle and Meymac. Built in chestnut with its fruitwood facade very carved with quite varied patterns, it reads a bit like a comic strip with these two ladies in long dresses, wheels, an animal (a bull?), a rider, two hearts, leaves, two stars and other unidentified patterns. It has a beautiful crenellated cornice. Inside, a fixed partition between the two doors and a small jewelry box. Under the two doors separated by a rich carved crosspiece, two drawers... Finally, the sides offer us four panels that stand out. It is a rare piece of furniture, made of heavy wood, which cannot be dismantled and which has a beautiful presence...
