Cylindrical pewter mug with a quarter-round foot and a flat-topped lid with twisted ribs, with an ovoid thumb. It is decorated with a German inscription accompanied by floral motifs: "Zu einen madren Angedensen mill ich diese Kanne Schenfen / 1831".
Hallmark of Christian Wilhelm HOHENNER, received master in 1803.
Height: 27 cm.
WUNSIEDEL (Southern Germany), First third of the 19th century

Very good condition, a small repair at the junction of the body and the foot is however noted.
