In 1973, Charbel Matta left Ghazir, his native village in Lebanon, to study in France (plastic arts, art history, Fine Arts).
Based in Bordeaux, he is a professor at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and has a passion for his country of origin. He expresses it through his pictorial work but also through a collection of old postcards that he tracks down and collects with love.
His paintings have been exhibited in France and Lebanon during various events and exhibitions.
