"Rd Closed Mouth Doll"
We present for sale this superb closed-mouth porcelain doll, RABERY-DELPHIEU 1875/1899, former CAFFIN house of the 18th century. This famous house will be absorbed by the SFBJ in 1899. Jean DELPHIEU was the father-in-law and Alexendre RABERY the son-in-law. The heads signed RD appear in 1882 and are made by the porcelain of the GAULTIER brothers. Ours is marked R 4 D with an articulated wooden body, it is in good condition but it has lost its cork panties which were stolen from me during an unpacking between professionals. the eyes are blue and fixed, the hair is original, pierced ears with earrings.
