Large sculpture in gilded and polychrome wood. End of the 19th century. Comes from a castle in Isère where an entire room was furnished in the style of Egyptomania, including the stained glass windows. Representative object of this fashion that is both orientalist and historicist. This large extraordinary object is accompanied by two pendants representing stylized papyri.
