"Victorian “clover” Ring, Gold And Diamonds"
Victorian 'clover' ring 18k rose gold and platinum, centered with a three-leaf clover motif, each leaf set with an old mine-cut diamond. The clover stem is set with small rose-cut diamonds. The shoulder tapers to a point. 19th century.
Total estimated diamond weight: 0.70 ct.
Size: 50 (adjustable – with two small balls).
Weight: 3.7 g (18k – 750/1000 and platinum 850/1000 – owl and mask hallmarks).
Condition: The clover is traditionally associated with luck and good fortune. Offering a clover-shaped engagement ring symbolized the groom's vows to his bride. One of the diamonds has a slight chip on the girdle, almost invisible under the setting. The other stones, although with inclusions, are remarkably white. The jewel is in excellent overall condition.
