"Erik Nielsen Royal Copenhagen, Sleeping Fox, Animal Figurine Sculpture, Porcelain"
Sculpture of a sleeping fox, or perhaps a fennec fox, made of porcelain in the typical blue-grey tones of the famous Royal Copenhagen manufactory in Denmark. Created by the sculptor Erik Nielsen, this figurine probably dates from the 1930s to the 1960s, although it is difficult to determine the exact date. The piece, in perfect condition, is signed under the base and bears the number 438, probably corresponding to the model. The Royal Copenhagen manufactory was particularly renowned for its figurines representing animals, figures and groups of figures.our Royal Copenhagen 'Fenec / Renard' sculpture animal figurine in polychrome porcelain 438, Denmark, ca 1930
