"Gabriella Binazzi 'elephants' Bottle Cooler / Planter, Brass Bronze, 1960s"
Elephant sculpture forming a large bottle cooler. Attributed to GABRIELLA BINAZZI FORESTO Firenze, Italy circa 1960. Oval structure in brass, elephant heads in bronze, silver-plated metal & horn tusks. Very good condition, note that this piece (champagne bucket, ice bucket) can also be used as a planter. Refined work also close to the work of Gabriella Crespi or Antonio Pavia, two Italian artists who created sculptures of birds and other animals in brass in the 1960s using materials such as agate stone, coral, shell (nautilus, ...), ostrich egg ... The quintessence of chic, a mix of cool luxury, seventies glam and timeless elegance, typical of Italian Design of the 1960s / 80s.
