Art Nouveau openwork silver-plated platter (display stand) representing an elegant draped woman with irises. WMF model No. 290 created around 1906, reproduced on page 170 (trailers for business cards) of the catalogue raisonné of the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF), see explanatory images. In beautiful original condition, patina never restored, slightly silvered. From the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, WMF competed with other recognized silver-plated pewter manufacturers such as Pewter (Peter Berhens), Kayserzinn (Hugo Leven) Eduard Hueck, Osiris, Liberty & Co (Archibald Knox)...
