Georges Pelletier: Born in Belgium, this graduate of the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art in Paris moved to France in 1961. Roche-Bobois was the first house to produce his ceramic lighting fixtures. In 1973, Georges Pelletier permanently established his workshop in the Suquet district of Cannes. In the catalogue of major auctions, his most famous ceramic sculptures are decorated with balls skewered on steel rods. Present in many foundations and public and private collections, the works of Georges Pelletier are permanently exhibited in dedicated galleries in New York, Shanghai, Los Angeles... "Working and modeling clay has always been part of my life," he confided to L'Officiel magazine in 2021. I am a pure product of free expression. Modeling and enameling are something natural, instinctive for me."
