Curious walnut armchair with flat back Stamped *Falconet Louis XV period 18th century. Flat violin-shaped back delicately carved with flowers and foliage. Ribbed scalloped belt finely carved with flowers in the center, armrests with cuffs. It rests on four arched legs ending in shells. (old restorations at the ends of the legs) The armchair is covered in old blue velvet with a floral motif. Elegant model with unusual proportions. * Pierre Falconet (Born in 1683) - seat carpenter. He practiced rue de Clery, under the name of Fidélité, between 1738 and 1750. He was succeeded by his son Louis, who obtained his master's letters in 1743. We owe remarkable works to their workshop.
