Oil on canvas board 19x27 cm "The bouquet" circa 1930
Signed lower right
Maurice Louvrier is part of the Rouen School, rubbing shoulders with the Impressionists, such as Monet, Sisley and Pissarro.
He exhibited regularly in the Parisian and Rouen Salons and solo exhibitions were organized for him, notably at the Galerie Legrip in 1919 and the Galerie Drouant in 1926.
Also a writer and actor, he works in an Impressionism that is sometimes vaporous, sometimes more assertive and even expressionist, as in this bouquet.
