On the dial, which bears the production mark of the elaborate object, Bonniot Martorel & Bergeron, the hours are indicated with Roman numerals while the minutes with Arabic numerals. The clock has a two-train movement with the hour and half ring on bell. The manufacturer of this object, which had its headquarters in Marseille, was well known at the end of the 19th century for the production of watches and furniture in art nouveau and neoclassical style.
