"Painting By Louis Magre Born In 1955. Landscape Of Brittany At Low Tide"
Painting by Louis MAGRE Born in 1955. Landscape of Brittany at low tide Louis Magre was born in Paris in 1955. From his adolescence, he studied drawing and architecture, which he gradually abandoned to concentrate on drawing. He currently lives in Provence, a region that fascinates him and that he loves more than anything to admire and paint. At the beginning of his career, he produced nudes and charcoal portraits, then, admiring impressionist painters such as Sisley, Pissaro, Monet and Seurat, he began to paint the landscapes of his region. Following in the footsteps of Cézanne and Van Gogh, he depicts the clear sky, the green olive trees, the bright flowers and the Provençal masts and propels us into the world of Marcel Pagnol. Very contemplative of landscapes, he will also paint the windy beaches of Brittany, the flowery dunes of Normandy, but also the streets of Little Italy and the illuminated signs of Chinatown in New York, where he will live for three years. Each of his works is a journey through the most beautiful landscapes in the world, projecting the observer of the work into the wonder and sensory experience provided by nature.
