Very pretty Louis XV style model with ends decorated with strong scrolls connected by a shell and resting on small feet.

Each piece is hallmarked:
. Boar's head for solid silver between 1838 and 1961
. Goldsmith's hallmark: H&Cie with a rosebud and a star for Hénin et compagnie, a large French goldsmith house active from 1875

This set is very elegant, with a beautiful model all in Louis XV style curves. Solid silver knife holders are relatively rare, especially of this quality.
